About the Event

Land of Oak & Iron is the perfect place to take your 4 legged friends for a walk – our Heritage Centre is dog friendly and we even have a doggie treat menu too!

We've planned a new Halloween event especially for our canine friends!  'HOWL-O-WEEN' (we love the title!)

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade at 3pm:

Bring your pooch dressed up in a spooky costume and enter our parade - it's a lot of fun, will make everyone smile and the best dressed dog will win a doggie prize!  You can enter online below - there may be some spaces available to book in the day, but we're expecting the parade to be popular so best to book ahead if you can.

From 10am there will be some doggie themed stalls too with David's Dog Deli for home-baked doggie goodness, and Lindsey of Scribble & Patch who creates beautiful paw (or baby/child's hand) print ceramics.  Lindsey is taking bookings now and there's an additional little gift for the 1st 10 people who book in, so be quick!  Here's the link: Howl-O-Ween Land Of Oak and Iron Dog Paw Print Event | Facebook

We would love to see photographs or films of your spooky pooch at the Heritage Centre - so please upload to our Facebook page with the tag #howloweenoakandiron for a chance to be our 'Dog of the Month'.

More details of Howl-O-Ween coming soon as we plan the details, so pop the date in your diary, book your place in the parade and watch this space and our Facebook page for updates!

To guarantee your place please book below (limited places may be available on the day).

It promises to be a dog friendly, fun and sociable event – we can’t wait to see you! (We ask that dogs are kept on their leads in and around the Heritage Centre).

Our café will be open for lunch and refreshments, including our dog treat menu (polite notice, all our seating areas are for café customers, including our outside benches and planters, so please do not bringyour own food/drinks to those seating areas.  We do have a lovely meadow area next to the Heritage Centre should you wish to bring a picnic.
