About the Event
Land of Oak & Iron is the perfect place to take your 4 legged friends for a walk – our Heritage Centre is dog friendly and we even have a doggie treat menu too!
Event day 10am - 4.30pm, Â with the dog show from 1pm.
To celebrate our 4 legged visitor friends, we are organising an event especially for them (and their human folk).
Join us in and around the Courtyard for doggie themed stalls and a fun dog show – there are different categories such as dog with the waggiest tail, best dressed, dog most like their owner and best trick along with an award for the best in show.Â
We will also have some doggie themed stalls, including tasty goodies from David's Dog Deli, information and fun things to do with Bryson's Animal Rescue and The Dogs Trust (who will be running some fun dog activities).
Dog paw prints and ceramics with Scribble & Patch, snoods and scarves with Snoods 4 Dudes, accessories and treats with Mammies Biscuit Dog Bakery and Marley Fields, pet portraits with Lavinia Hunter, pottery with Jeanet Ingwersen Cermaics, dog photo booth with Gayle Hall Dog Photography, crafts with Mersey Time Crafters and dog photography with Sarah Loveland who will also be exhibiting her heart-warming exhibition in our gallery, featuring photographs and stories of dogs who have lost a limb.Â

ENTER THE DOG SHOW COMPETITION BELOW:
You can enter into the dog show competition here (scroll down to tickets) – to guarantee your place, simply choose your category below and book.  Places are limited in each category - there may be a small amount of places in each category to book on the day (before 12pm).
There will be a prize for the winners of each category. Â Certificates for 2nd and 3rd places.
We would like you to confirm your place in person by 12pm on the day, so we're sure we have all the dogs ready for the show starting at 1pm (if there's any not confirmed by 12pm we will assume you've changed your mind and may release your place).
It promises to be a very dog friendly and sociable event – we can’t wait to see you! (We ask that dogs are kept on their leads in and around the Heritage Centre).
Our café will be open for lunch and refreshments, including our dog treat menu (polite notice, all our seating areas are for café customers, including our outside benches and planters, so please do not bringyour own food/drinks to those seating areas.  We do have a lovely meadow area next to the Heritage Centre should you wish to bring a picnic.
