What is Burns Night?
Burns Night is a celebration to the life of Robert Burns, a successful Scottish poet often referred to as the national poet of Scotland. During the evening, in celebration his poems are read aloud and the ceremonial addressing of the haggis is played out.
Looking back at Burns Night 2023!
Last year was our first time hosting a Burns Night Supper Event at the Land of Oak & Iron. We had live music, a 3 course meal, and followed out Burns night traditions.

Coming up on January 27th...
We are incredibly excited to host our new Burns Night Supper on the 27th, we would love for you all to come along. It'll be an enjoyable social evening and in the true spirit of Burns we will be following traditions such as the reading of some Burns poems and the ceremonial addressing of the haggis with Northumbrian piper Ednie Wilson and Bob Wilson on accordion, they will also play tunes as guest arrive and end the evening with Auld Lang Syne.
