About the Event

Situated in the Lower Derwent Valley this section of the Land of Oak and Iron is a mixed landscape of woodland, meadows, riverside and historic monuments.

On this guided bird walk local ornithologist Michael Turner will help identify the rich birdlife by sight and sound. In January winter thrushes including redwing are still around adding to the numbers of resident birds including dipper, grey wagtail, jay and of course the iconic red kite.

Please bring binoculars if you have them and dress appropriately with stout footwear, waterproofs may be necessary depending on the weather.  Sorry, no dogs please.
