Kid's Discovery Club Session 1

Get up close to nature and explore outdoor spaces in our new Kid's Discovery Club at the Heritage Centre in Winlaton Mill.

Join in on the 1st Sunday of every month to make new discoveries while exploring the beautiful green spaces and woodlands surrounding the Heritage Centre.  Activities will include discovering more about mini beasts, bees, trees, wild art and much more! 

There will be 6 sessions to explore and discover many aspects of nature and wildlife. You can come to just 1 or book all 6 - each month you will discover something new!

Session 2: All About Bees

Session 3: Discovering Mini Beasts

Session 4: Led by Durham Wildlife Trust

Session 5: Bush Craft

Session 6: Wild About Art

Our first session is led by our friends at Durham Wildlife Trust.

Summer is a wonderful time to explore the different types of trees in the Land of Oak & Iron.  Trees come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

Our session this month will compare the leaves, bark and seeds of the different trees that we see on our walk.  Collecting natural materials on our walk we will then use these different aspects to create some artwork.

Suitable for ages 6+

£9.50 per session for 1 child and 1 adult,  or book all 6 sessions for £50.

All children must be accompanied by one adult (only 1 adult per child please).
