About the Event
If you've ever thought about researching your family tree but aren't confident or maybe you've started but now got completely stuck, then this is the course for you.
Running over 3 weeks, Anthea Lang, an experienced family and local historian will take you through all the steps needed to get your research underway.
Tuesday 22nd October, Tuesday 29th October & Tuesday 5th November, 2-4pm
We'll also be looking at places your ancestors lived, occupations and much more. This is intended to be a fun, friendly course with lots of discussion along the way.
Anthea has been doing family history research for over 20 years and has run many successful family history courses.
Anthea retired from her role as Gateshead Council’s Local History and Heritage Manager and has continued to help people living locally and around the world trace their family trees with her wealth of knowledge about the North East. She is also an author and has written several books about the local area.
Come along and discover the how, where and when of family history research in this friendly and informal session taking part in our Map Room (refreshments can be purchased from our on-site cafe).
Booking essential as limited places available.
